Misunderstood Minions: A Mini TTRPG

A Day of Incredible Updates!

Oh my goodness! So many updates all at once! For starters I am so sorry I haven't been able to update recently, summer jobs, chaotic life, plus minion mania has kept me on my toes all summer!

Our art is now 100% complete! Huzzah! I I was so excited to see the art all done that I even shed a tear or two of excitement and joy! All of the art has been sent off to an incredible layout designer to swap out the line art images with the colored! The first two rounds of layout design are complete as well! Now we just await the final document with the art to make sure that everything still looks the way we hope with the final art, and make any last minute tweaks before sending it off to the printer.

Add Ons! Our dice have arrived!!!!! The original dice that I had selected for Misunderstood Minions at the start of this campaign were sadly not able to fulfill the quantity that we needed for all of our backers who decided to get a dice with their game (Thank you for the support!). But rest at ease, because the dice that we got are WONDERFUL! They are somewhat transparent, with purple ink injected into it, with some interesting blue specks scattered inside, and blue numbers! Take a look!

Since our art and character sheets are complete I will be able to send off the character sheets and art for their end of Add On fulfillment so that our character sheet notepads, and sticker sheets are ready for all of you!

I am so excited to bring this update to you all! Once the files have been sent off to the printer, I am going to be sending a major update via a pledge manager to you all where you will be able to tell me where you would like to have your pledges sent, where you will pay for your shipping (if you have physical items), and where you can add on anything else you need to make sure that your gaming experience is perfect for you.

The Summer of Minions is in Full Swing!

Happy Summer!

What a start to a fabulous summer! The Overseer and I have been working hard to get our minion train rolling! Now let's talk updates!

Since art is happening in waves, I split it up into two major steps. Line Art and Finished Art. I am so happy to announce that line art is officially complete! All art for the book has been created and finalized in the layout design, and now it moves to the next step of coloring and shading. I can't wait to see these minions come to life! With the coloring and shading, we are actually approximately a quarter of the way complete and are on track to finish in the month of June.

I have received drafts of our layout design with the line art in place so that this step can move forward. And I am so excited that everything is coming together so beautifully and smoothly. We are reaching the point now where the art will just need to be swapped with the finalized versions!

I am also thrilled to let you know about our Add-On updates! Dice are en route! Dice had been selected during the Kickstarter funding process, but then an absolute gem of a die fell into my lap! These dice are in the color scheme of the game, and bring me so much joy to roll! The bulk order of dice should be arriving in about a week!

I am so excited to see everything come together, and have to keep pinching myself to prove I'm not dreaming. I can't wait to share more when I have it!

Hello All!

I have been hard at work getting Misunderstood Minions on track to completion.

Playtesting and Editing are officially concluded! All edits are changed and the document has been sent off to our incredible freelance Layout Graphic Designer.

Our Graphic Designer has been hard at work making sure that the interior pages are as wonderful as they can possibly be! The character sheet, and basics of the interior have been decided! Now we just are on hold for our art to be completed.

As for art, the lovely freelance artists are working hard to make sure that our minions look fighting fit! We have a quarter of the art completed in their line art form, with the rest to come before the end of the month.

With our character sheets complete I am finalizing our character sheet notepads add ons! Fingers crossed that those can be sent to their printer at the start of next month!

And as for a printing update, I got the samples in for the cover paper and inner pages. I'm so excited to have selected the papers that will some time soon be our book!

The Overseer is making sure that every step of the way is filled witih fun, adventure, and making the best possible game possible.

Thank you all again for helping me live out a dream I didn't know was lurking in the shadows. When I have more updates, I will make sure to keep you all in the loop.

Happy Minion Morning! The Campaign is Over... But the Adventure Isn’t!

Wow. We did it! The campaign has officially ended, and I just want to take a moment to say a huge THANK YOU to every single one of you who pledged, shared, commented, or cheered this project on. Your support means the world, and I’m beyond excited to bring this game to life and into your hands.

Whether you were here from day one or jumped on in the final hours, thank you for believing in Misunderstood Minions (and all the chaotic villainy it brings).

Missed the campaign? Good news!
Late pledges are now open! If you know someone who didn’t get a chance to back, they can still sneak in and grab a copy through Kickstarter. Keep sharing the link and spreading the word, late pledges will continue to count toward unreached stretch goals!

And yes—if additional stretch goals are reached through late pledges, those rewards will be made available as add-ons when the pledge manager goes live closer to when products are ready to ship.

What’s next?
Kickstarter will now begin processing your pledges. This can take a few days, so make sure your payment info is up to date. After that, I’ll be sending out updates as we move into the next phase: final edits, polishing, art and layout design, production, and preparing the pledge manager. Keep an eye on your inbox, there’s a lot of exciting stuff coming your way.

It's Another Minion Monday & FIRST STRETCH GOAL!

Hello, my magnificent minions! I am so excited to say that we have just under 24 hours left in our campaign, and we just hit our first stretch goal!

I am so excited that stickers have been added as an add-on! If you would like to take your minions with you, add them to your pledge today! Have you ever wanted to see what The Overseer would look like as a loyal minion? Take a look at this incredible sample art as our beloved Overseer as a Floof!

With just under 24 hours to go, we are not too far from our next stretch goal of creating an alternate version of Misunderstood Minions into a solo game! The premise of the game is the same, but with these revised rule sets, you would be able to play without having to worry about how to schedule time with your group! You would be able to adventure on your own timetable! I have been plotting and planning how to bring the adventure to a solo edition, and if we hit this stretch goal, the solo edition in a digital format will be available as an add-on to your pledge! Want to adventure with friends? Or cause chaos all on your own?

Now, if a solo edition is your dream, and you would like to bring it to your shelf or store, that is something we can absolutely do as well, if we hit our third stretch goal. Hitting this goal would add a physical copy of Misunderstood Minions: Solo Edition to our add-ons, so that you can add it to your pledge.

Don't forget to share the minion mania with friends and family! Our campaign isn't over yet, and who knows what we can accomplish with the time we have left.
